So far, our July is not planning out nearly like we hoped it would. A week and a half ago, Shaun came home from a farewell party on Wednesday afternoon feeling bad. He promptly spiked a low fever (100.5°), followed by a stomach bug (quite possibly the Cyclospora cayetanensis parasite making the rounds right now). It took him completely out of work on Thursday, and he spent much of the day sleeping it off. On Friday, he was feeling a bit better, so he had a small bite to eat and went in to work to take part in a change of command ceremony that he had a role in. He then spent the rest of the day at work, waiting for his Physical Therapy appointment that afternoon. He came home Friday exhausted and went back to bed. Saturday was actually a bit of a relapse.
